SOLO Swiss furnaces line for the sockets of machinery market

A heat treatment installation delivered in Germany to the clamping rings manufacturer Michael Pentz GmbH.

The SOLO Swiss line is designed for the heat treatment of clamping rings. It is equipped with an austenitizing, carburizing and carbonitriding bell furnaces, with a working temperature up to 1050°C, a quenching oil tank max. 100°C, a tempering furnace under N2 atmosphere upto 600°C, a washing machine with two tanks of washing/rinsing and drying, an oil separator, a motorized manipulator, an AXRON Swiss Technology process control and supervision. The  useful loading dimensions are about 500 mm diameter, 700 mm height for a surface of 0.19 m2, a volume of 0.155 m3 and a maximum weight of a load about 300 kg.
This line has many applications, including:

-       A load management system with remote supervision (for online maintenance).
-       Perfect metallurgical results (no deformation, homogeneity and reproducibility of treatment).
-       An integrated and flexible production system with a wide range of treatments.
-       An increase in production capacity by addition of future modules.
-       Thanks to its very simple operating mode, no specialised manpower is required.
-       The modules furnace/tank are independently working in order to optimise the installation's productivity.
-       The direct transfer furnace/tank assures a better temperature control during the quenching phase.
-       An oil separator system for a better washing of the parts and to reduce the water consumption as well as the environnemental impact.
-       The treatment gases, only in contact with the elements in refractory steels, allow a rapid time change and a perfect thermochemical homogeneity as well as a lower gas consumption and therefore this conception is cheaper than the other type of conventional batch furnaces.

SOLO Swisswww.soloswiss.com  manufactures advanced industrial furnaces for the heat treatment of metals. SOLO Swiss offers a large range of atmosphere furnaces such as batch furnaces, bell-type furnaces, continuous furnaces, mesh belt furnaces used in variety of heat treatment processes (Carburizing, Hardening, Tempering, Annealing, Austempering, Nitriding, Brazing, Carbonitriding, Sintering, Nitrocarburising, Oxinitriding, Quenching). SOLO Swiss furnaces are well suited for the treatment of the small complex metallic parts requiring an enhanced heat treatment and reduced distortion. Parts include: springs, clips, fasteners, coins, needles, hooks, ball bearings, parts for the aeronautics and spacial, cutlery, jewellery and watch-making industry, coins and medals, surgical and dental, tools, machines, automotive, electrical and electronical, micro mechanic, as well as, long parts for which the bell furnace is most suitable. In all these fields, SOLO Swiss Group’s customers are amongst the most famous names in these industries for more than 40 years. SOLO Swiss Group is focused on customer service and can provide a worldwide service for repairs and maintenance.
Michael Pentz - www.pentz-spannelemente.de  was founded in 1960, with the aims of producing tension bushes to meet the toughest demands, through precision, material quality and care in production. With a team of experienced specialists we have developed not only the internationally recognised standard parts but also many customer specific solutions, in particular the Close Joint Bush. With the latter point in mind Pentz continually try to ensure that customers design staff are involved in the early stages of the specification process. This helps to guarantee the most cost effective and technologically superior part available. Through many patented innovations Pentz has developed new areas of application working with leading manufacturers in the fields of Engineering Construction, Agricultural Machinery, Conveying Systems and other industries where pressures and wear are problems to be solved.
