SOLO
Swiss, manufacturer of atmosphere furnaces since 1945, delivered 2 furnaces
type 302-60/500 to a fastener systems manufacturer in France and in Germany.
This SOLO Swiss heat treatment production line is equipped with an
electrically heated belt furnace for temperatures up to 950°C, a 450°C salt
quenching tank designed with a carrousel based extraction, a transfer tank, a
washing system for an automatical washing after salt quenching, and a salt
recovery system. This new furnace, as the entire SOLO product range, is powered
by AXRON Swiss advanced process control.
This production line has an
effective capacity of 300 kg/hour, with an effective heating zone of 630mm
(width) x 5000mm (length) x 120mm (height), and has a total heating installed
power of 420 kW.
Thanks to advanced
atmosphere control based on protective gases (nitrogen, methanol), as well as
gases additions for set point regulation (natural gas, propane, air) combined
with measurement probes enabling both austenitizing and carburizing, SOLO Swiss
succeeded in meeting the strict specifications of the customer’s metallurgical
requirements.
This furnace exhibits the
following unique advantages:
High precision and perfect
homogeneity of heat treatment
No risk of mixing between
sets of parts due to the sequential carrousel based quench tank
Compliant with the most
stringent environmental requirements (reprocessing and recycling of washing waters,
salt recovery)
