The furnace proposed in several sizes to answer all types of production is designed to treat materials as various as steels, stainless steels, non ferrous and precious metals.
It has been adapted especially for a customer in Slovakia for very delicate specific parts that few furnaces could treat (magnetic annealing with 100% hydrogen at low temperature until 650°C). That characteristic imposed some care to answer the safety constraints related to pure hydrogen while preserving a quality and a perfect surface of the parts at a most advantageous investment cost. These arguments motivated the customer in choosing a SOLO installation type PROTECLINE, width 800 mm, length 6000 mm and useful height 100 mm.
Beside, this belt furnace presented many other advantages for the customer :
· Safety:
- Respect of the maximum rate of flammable gas discharge of 5% authorized by EC safety requirements. Solo could reduce this percentage to less than 5% thanks to the design of the furnace
· Economy:
- Entry and exit equipped with a system allowing a reduction of the gas treatment consumption
- Control of gas consumption by a better balancing of the furnace
- Possibility to work with a gas (hydrogen) in the furnace and another gas (nitrogen) in the cooling channel to reduce consumption while preserving the same parts quality
· Furnace equipped with a metallic channel:
- Heating homogeneity with +-5°C: mixing of the atmosphere at low temperature
- Fast atmosphere conditioning of the various treatments required
· Simple concept:
- Modular design
- Cables integrated into the frame to avoid civil engineering
- Simple mechanization and drive
· Reliability:
- The thermal shocks are absorbed by a mobile plate with interchangeable elements.
- The return of the belt on rollers decreases friction and consequently its wear.
- The conveying belt is a driving system secured by a continuous control of the couple applied to the belt.
· Simple and economic reduced maintenance:
- easy accessibility with the channel by construction in half shell carcass.
- the heating elements are presented in the form of easily interchangeable pins in rack.
· Quality:
- Homogeneous cooling on all the surface of the belt
- Control of temperature homogeneity in several distinct zones
- Control of the partial pressure of O2 by Lambda probe at each end of the furnace.
· A convivial control system of last technology, type Easytherm, translated into customer’s language and entirely developed by SOLO, with standard market material, ensuring the management and the filing of the data and allowing remote maintenance of the installation.
This range of continuous furnaces is also proposed with following standard functions:
· Temperatures reaching up to 1150°C
· The heating elements can be also presented under the shape of easily interchangeable candles.
· Choice of heating mode (gas or electric)
· Direct accessibility to the gas-burners (if gas heating).
· Increase of the performances of the installation by addition of a drier with a molecular sieve (reduction of the dewpoint to increase the absorbing power and the surface aspect).
· Control of O2 partial pressure by oxymeter (or/and Lambda probe) at each end of the furnace.
· Channel built for all ranges of nitrogen/hydrogen mixture (from 100% nitrogen to 100% hydrogen) as well as for the other types of gases.
· The dilatation of the channel can be assisted by a jack spanner.
· Absorption of the zinc vapour for the treatment of copper and judicious distribution of the heating elements
· Possibility to carry out following treatments:
